Privacy Policy
We collect information members voluntarily provide, including names, email addresses supplied through authentication, optional telephone numbers, profiles, birding locations, photographs, posts, comments, marketplace and sponsorship information. We also collect limited technical and usage data such as pages visited, referral source, browser information, and activity dates.
We use information to operate accounts, attribute contributions, moderate content, administer meetups and marketplace activity, respond to inquiries, improve the service, prevent abuse, and—once separately connected—process payments and send transactional communications. Optional phone numbers are private administrative information and are not displayed publicly unless a member separately chooses to publish them.
We do not promise absolute security. We may disclose information to service providers, payment processors, legal authorities, or successors when reasonably necessary. Members may request access, correction, or deletion by contacting us, subject to recordkeeping, fraud-prevention, contractual, and legal obligations.

Terms of Use
By using Field & Feather, you agree to provide accurate information, comply with applicable law, respect wildlife and other people, and follow these policies. You must have authority to submit all content you upload. You remain responsible for your conduct, communications, transactions, and offline meetings.
Field & Feather may review, edit, restrict, hide, archive, reject, or remove any account or content at any time, for any lawful reason, without an obligation to disclose its internal reasoning. Access may be suspended or terminated for unsafe, fraudulent, abusive, infringing, misleading, or disruptive activity.
The service is provided “as is” without guarantees of uninterrupted availability, accuracy, identification success, transaction completion, funding, meetup safety, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent allowed by law, On The Fence LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from site use.

Community Guidelines
Be accurate, constructive, and respectful. Do not harass, threaten, discriminate, impersonate, spam, publish private information, disturb wildlife, disclose sensitive nest locations, encourage trespassing, or upload illegal, graphic, deceptive, or infringing material. Identification disagreements must remain civil and evidence-based.
Use reporting tools for questionable content. Reports are reviewed privately; outcomes and internal reasoning may remain confidential. Repeated or serious violations may result in immediate restriction.

Marketplace Terms
Field & Feather provides a venue for independent buyers and sellers. Unless expressly stated, On The Fence LLC does not own, inspect, warrant, or guarantee listed equipment. Sellers must describe condition honestly and buyers must evaluate suitability before purchase.
When payment processing is activated, Field & Feather intends to retain a 10% platform fee from completed sales. Processing, dispute, refund, shipping, tax, payout, and connected-account fees may also apply and will be disclosed in the transaction flow. Until activation is expressly announced, marketplace inquiries are not completed sales through the site.

Seller Agreement
Sellers confirm they own or are authorized to sell listed items; listings are lawful, accurate, safe, and free of undisclosed liens; and photographs and descriptions may be displayed under these terms. Sellers are responsible for taxes, shipping, delivery, warranties they offer, buyer communications, and compliance with payment-provider onboarding.
Field & Feather may hold, delay, reverse, or restrict listings or payouts where permitted to address disputes, suspected fraud, chargebacks, legal obligations, or policy violations.

Refund and Cancellation Policy
Before integrated payments launch, pledges and inquiries are nonbinding expressions of interest and no card is charged. After launch, direct Field & Feather support is generally final except for duplicate or unauthorized charges, subject to applicable law. Marketplace refunds depend on the listing, seller agreement, payment-provider rules, item condition, and dispute evidence.
Event or sponsorship cancellation terms must be shown before payment. Requests should be sent promptly to the contact address with transaction details. Approved refunds return through the original payment method; processing time is controlled by the payment provider and financial institution.

Sponsorship Terms
Submitting or responding to a sponsorship request does not guarantee funding, performance, travel, recognition, tax treatment, safety, or results. Campaign owners must use funds for the represented purpose and provide truthful updates. Field & Feather may pause or remove campaigns and may request documentation.
Organization partnerships require a separate written agreement defining benefits, term, payment, logo rights, deliverables, cancellation, and public claims. No sponsorship form by itself creates a contract.

Donation Disclosure
S.C.A.Y. (Someone Cares About You) is a for-profit homeless outreach program operated in connection with On The Fence LLC. Unless expressly stated otherwise, contributions to S.C.A.Y. are not represented as tax-deductible charitable donations.
Of funds described as donations to S.C.A.Y., 80% is allocated directly to obtaining goods and services for people in need and to operating S.C.A.Y.; 20% is allocated to On The Fence LLC. Separately, On The Fence LLC provides 20% of its net sales to S.C.A.Y., retaining 80% of those net sales.
Any additional donation destination for another outreach program or nonprofit organization will be separately identified and will use that organization’s own payment link or other verifiable payment method. Donors should review the recipient’s legal status and tax documentation directly.

Meetup Safety Rules
Meetups are community-organized activities, not supervised expeditions unless expressly stated. Meet in public places, tell someone your plans, use appropriate clothing and equipment, check weather and accessibility, follow land rules, remain on permitted routes, respect wildlife distance, and do not attend when conditions feel unsafe.
Minors must be accompanied by a responsible parent or guardian. Participants assume ordinary risks of travel, terrain, weather, wildlife, equipment, and interaction with other people. Hosts must not misrepresent expertise or emergency capability.

Photo Ownership and Licensing Terms
The photographer retains copyright ownership. By uploading a photograph, the member represents that they created it or possess all permissions necessary to grant the following rights.
The member grants Field & Feather, On The Fence LLC, On The Fence Publications, their affiliates, successors, licensees, and service providers an automatic, worldwide, nonexclusive, transferable, sublicensable, royalty-free commercial license to host, copy, display, publish, edit, crop, adapt, combine, distribute, advertise, promote, sell, license, and otherwise reuse the photograph for any lawful purpose, in any medium, without additional payment. Visible photographer credit will be provided where reasonably practicable, but inadvertent omission does not terminate the license.
Members may request removal from future site display. Removal does not revoke completed sales, existing printed materials, sublicenses, archived records, promotional campaigns already distributed, or other uses that cannot reasonably be withdrawn. Field & Feather may remove any image it considers inappropriate or unsuitable, at any time and for any reason, without disclosing the reason.
